LEANNE GARNER BSC HONS ITEC DIP PTST
With a passion for anatomy & physiology and an early background in general nursing, I retrained as a massage therapist/ sports therapist and personal trainer in 2001 and along the way also became a Level 2 triathlon coach, a Level 2 swimming coach and a firefighter.
All of these skills brought me opportunities to work with some interesting sports people over the years - triathletes, runners, cyclists, and mountain sports lovers, giving me a good knowledge of injuries and their physical and psychological effects.

Of all the modalities I used as a therapist, for me, movement was the most powerful. And so...
In 2019 I qualified as a Stott Pilates matwork instructor, then later undertook my Reformer training at the Lisa Bradshaw Academy. In 2024 I completed the Post Grad Diploma Integrating the Pilates Method for Long Term Medical Conditions, and more recently I have trained with James Shaw on the Tower equipment. I love working my way through the pilates system, with my clients and with my own practice . . . always in awe of the method and how much there is to learn! Passing on this knowledge and helping clients to develop a mind-body awareness and optimal movement for life is so rewarding.
And apart from pilates, what do I do with my spare time? Well I love to travel, and I love to run! I have competed in many marathons, ultramarathons and triathlons, having represented Team GB at age group level, and I'm at my happiest running or snowboarding with my husband and dogs in the mountains :)
